The District of Columbia, Department of General Services (DGS) has a need for extended warranties and maintenance of one hundred four (104) Physio-Control Defibrillators.

Physio-Control, lnc. manufacturers and exclusively maintains their own defibrillators. Currently, one hundred four (104) defibrillators are in use by the Department of Parks and Recreation at recreation facilities throughout the District. Defibrillators treat cardiac arrhythmias through the application of electrical therapy, allowing the heart to reestablish a healthy rhythm. lt is critical that these units function properly for the continued health and safety of the public. ln order to ensure continued stability and reliability of the defibrillators, only a Physio-Controlfactorytrained technician can provide maintenance, repair, and certification of the defibrillators. ln addition, the District must use Physio-Control factory trained technicians to be in compliance with the original and extended Limited Warranty and Technical Service Support Agreement. The District will utilize Physio-Control's local representative to obtain service.
