DGS Work Order Information

What is the DGS Work Order Process? Watch here:

The Department of General Services (DGS) ensures the ongoing safety, quality, and reliability of maintenance across all District-owned assets. The extensive portfolio includes facilities such as DC Public Schools (DCPS), Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) locations, Police Stations, Fire Stations, Special Use Facilities, Medical Centers, Warehouses, Industrial Sites, Retail Locations, Housing, Residential Buildings, Libraries, Museums, Parking Facilities, and core centers of government operations.

Recent enhancements to the DGS Public Work Order Dashboard feature:

  • User-Friendly Search Features: Quick access to specific information through searches by work order number, problem type, or facility name.
  • Interactive Real-Time Analytics: Comprehensive real-time analytics and customizable drill-down views for detailed performance assessments.
  • Historical and Current Data: Access to a range of work order data spanning from Fiscal Year 2022 through the current Fiscal Year 2025.

These upgrades are part of DGS’s continuous effort to foster greater transparency, improved data accessibility, and precise insights into facility management performance. Regular weekly updates keep all users, including District residents, facility visitors, and stakeholders, accurately informed of repair and maintenance activities, timelines, and service improvements.
