Pursuant to D.C. Official Code Section 1-309.10, the Department of General Services shall provide thirty days’ written notice, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, of proposed actions, including (1) the intent to acquire an interest in real property, either through purchase or lease or (2) the intent to change the use of property owned or leased by or on behalf of the government, to the Office of Advisory Neighborhood Commissions, each affected Commission, the Commissioner representing a single-member district affected by said actions, and to each affected Ward Councilmember. Notice letters will be made accessible on-line for the purpose of notification and solicitation of recommendations of the intent to acquire an interest in real property, either through purchase or lease or the intent to change the use of property owned or leased by or on behalf of the government.

All recommendations on this subject matter must be filed in writing, not later than thirty days (30) after the date of the notice, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, with the Department of General Services, by email at [email protected] or by U.S. mail at 3924 Minnesota Avenue, NE, 6th Floor, Washington, DC 20019, ATTN: Portfolio Management Division.
