(WASHINGTON, DC) – Tomorrow at 11:00am, the Department of General Services (DGS) will hold a media availability to share information about work now underway to prepare recreational facilities for public use across all eight wards. Each year, District pools, parks and other recreational spaces receive maintenance, referred as ‘spring-summer readiness,’ to include pool power washing and painting, inspections, grounds maintenance and switch over from the winter season for public enjoyment. This work is performed by DGS on behalf of the District and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).
