The District of Columbia, Department of General Services (DGS) on behalf of on behalf of the Office of Unified Communications (OUC), and Department of General Services (DGS) is requesting a proposal for the design and total cost estimates required to build a new 500 ft. tower including demolishing/removal of an existing 400 ft. tower (the “Project”). OUC is the District of Columbia’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for emergency (9-1-1) and non-emergency (3-1-1) calls. The mission of the OUC is to provide a fast, professional and cost-effective response to emergency and non-emergency calls in the District. The OUC operates a ten site P25 public safety radio system in the District of Columbia. The radio system supports first responder agencies like Police and Fire as well as 20 other District Government agencies.
