The District of Columbia’s Department of General Services (“DGS”) is seeking offers for land sites for a build-to-suit and / or existing buildings that can provide a new location for an animal shelter. Responsive offers, among other things, should provide land sites for new development or sites with approximately 35,000 SF to 42,000 of existing improvements with 30 to 50 parking spaces and an area for an outdoor dog run.  A strong preference will be given to sites that allow animal shelters and animal hospitals as a matter-of-right.  DC Health will be the occupying agency and reserves the right to use a third party operator of the animal shelter.
