Topic: MLK Gateway is a two-phase project in partnership between DMPED and The Menkiti Group that will form the gateway from downtown DC to an emerging and revitalized Anacostia, connecting the neighborhood's two major commercial corridors, Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Good Hope Road. Both phases feature a mix of office and retail space. Phase one broke ground in January 2020 and this event serves as the ribbon cutting. This event is also a groundbreaking event for Phase two of the project. Both sets of investors have been invited to attend and this is a monumental project for the Ward 8 community.
